Seventh grade Lady Rebels fall to White County

The Fannin County Middle School seventh grade Lady Rebels basketball team traveled to White County Monday, December 9, to take on the Lady Warriors. The Lady Rebels fell behind early and was not able to recover as White County walked away with a 38-23 conference win.

Aaleyah Rogers, Reese Lewis and Emma Holloway combined for six points in the first quarter, scoring a two-point bucket each. White County scored 14 points in the first quarter for a 14-6 lead over Fannin.

The Lady Rebels put up two points in the second quarter, with Emma Holloway getting a two-point bucket to drop.

White County netted six points to increase their lead 20-8 at halftime.

The Lady Rebels came out hot in the third quarter, with Lewis and Holloway combining for eight points on two, two-point baskets each. Emma Buchanan converted two free throws for a 10-point third quarter.

White County was able to put up 10 points as well to lead 30-18 to start the fourth quarter.

Maggie Ledford scored three points on a two-point bucket and a free throw, while Callie Ensley scored a two-point basket to cap a five-point fourth quarter for the Lady Rebels.

White County scored eight points as Fannin fell to White County 38-23.
