The Fannin County Rebels never trailed in their 67-45 region victory over Coosa, Friday, January 24. Hudson Ethington scored 26 points to lead the Rebels.
The Rebels outscored Coosa 19-9 in the first quarter and led 31-20 at halftime to secure the win.
The Rebels played stifling defense, blocking five shots and grabbing 12 steals. They controlled the paint, grabbing 37 rebounds. Kolton Kaylor led the team with 11 rebounds. Ethington hit four threes for Fannin. The Rebels passed the ball well with 14 assists on 22 made baskets.
Scorers for Fannin included Ethington with 26 points, Keaton Watkins scoring 15 points, Kaylor adding nine points, Jack Sparks adding eight points, Matthew Ponton with five points and Cannon Holloway and Brody Henson scoring two points each.
