An Avi Ethington and Reese Lewis double-double combined with 12 points from Izzie Jabaley led the Fannin County Lady Rebels basketball team to a 79-54 victory over Chattooga, Saturday, January 18.
Trailing 21-14, Chattooga went on a seen-point run to tie the game early in the second quarter. Then, the Lady Rebels went on a 10-2 run to pull further away to take a 43-30 lead at the half.
Saidee Patton, Toccoa Hampton, Ethington, and Jabaley each hit multiple three-pointers for the Lady Rebels. As a team, Fannin controlled the paint, grabbing a season high 51 rebounds and blocking five shots. Reese Lewis led the team with 12 rebounds. The Lady Rebels also passed the ball well with 15 assists on 28 made baskets.
Many Lady Rebels contributed to the total score.
Jabaley led with her 12 points, Maggie Ledford and Lewis scored 11 points, Ethington put up 10 points, Patton and Hampton both earned eight points, Emma Buchanan added six points, Emma Holloway scored four points, Callie Ensley put up three points and Saige Turner, Brooklyn Owenby and Albany Cole each added two points.
