Lady Rebels volleyball celebrates season

The Fannin County Lady Rebels junior varsity and varsity volleyball teams held their end of season banquet at the Fannin County High School cafeteria Tuesday, October 15.

Friends, Family and fans gathered to celebrate both teams as awards were given.

For the junior varsity team, head coach Joe Breeden gave out certificates of achievements to the following: Abby Vest, Kadie Thomason, Clara Payne, Alyssa Anderson, Brooklyn Cole, Jenna Young, Kayle Kendall, Rachel Prater and Rachel Bruce.

Kendall also won Offensive Player of the Year, as well as Most Valuable Player.

Rachel Prater won Defensive Player of the Year and Rachel Bruce won Teammate of the Year.

The Lady Rebels varsity squad was up next with the following getting certificates of achievements: 

Sophomores Becca Ledford and Reagan York; Juniors Paige Foresman and Abby Ledford; and Seniors Madison Bowers, Carly Crawford, Hannah Green, Sydnie Jones, Haley Parks, Courtney Earls and Cheyanne Tilson.

Foresman set a season record for the Lady Rebels with 86 aces.

She also set a school record for 274 career aces.

Abby Ledford set a school record with 1,131 assists and Tilson set a season record with 412 kills and a school record with 830 kills.

Bowers won Defensive Player of the Year, while Green won Teammate of the Year.

Tilson won Offensive Player of the Year, as well as Most Valuable Player.
