The Rebels girls tennis team’s season came to an end with a close loss against Rabun County.
Before this loss, the girls fought their way to a Sweet 16 spot.
“I am so very proud of these kids this year. They have worked hard and dedicated their time to getting better,” coach Suzianne Pass said.
In the first match, Sadie Patton won, six to zero in the first set and six to one in her second.
The next to finish was doubles team Piper Stroemer and Gracie Tutterrow. They lost one to six in the first set and two to six in the second.
Izzie Jabaley won her singles match. In both sets, she won six to one.
Then Kendall Clore and Taber Pass lost both their doubles sets. The first was four to six, and the second was three to six.
In the last game, Maddie Schueneman lost both sets, ending the first three to six and the second four to six.
Making it to the Sweet 16 was even more remarkable because none of the girls are seniors.
“They will all be back next year,” Pass said.
