The Fannin County Lady Rebels’ and Rebels’ soccer teams split wins against the North Murray Indians, Tuesday, March 2.
The Lady Rebels were able to win their game 5-0 while the Rebels fell just short as the Indians scored a goal in the final minutes of the game to win 1-0.
The Lady Rebels scored three goals in the first half, followed by two goals in the second half.
Ashley Frye scored two goals in the game with Hannah Sosebee, Kinsley Sullivan and Ivy Hyde netting a goal each. Goalkeeper Raechel Jessen collected four saves in the game as well. Annabel Lillard, Sosebee, and Sullivan had an assist each while Ana Arvidson had two. Sullivan was the Lady Rebels’ player of the game.
As for the Rebels’ soccer team, they were in a dog fight from start to finish, as North Murray was able to score in the final minutes of the second half to claim a 1-0 victory.
Despite the loss, Daniel Espinoza played well for the Rebels.
