The Fannin County Lady Rebels were ready to play for a Co-Region Champion title when they met the Pepperell Lady Dragons Friday, April 16; however, Pepperell outscoured the Fannin team 3-1 keeping the title just out of their grasp.
Pepperell was able to net three goals in the game, while Fannin scored one to fall to the Lady Dragons.
Samantha Rosas was the lone Lady Rebel to score in the game, and Ana Arvidson had the assist. Goalkeeper Rachael Jessen notched six saves in the contest, but it was Pepperell that came out on top as time expired, snapping the Lady Rebels’ eight-game winning streak.
The Lady Rebels will look for revenge in the postseason as they finish the regular season with a 12-2 record and a 10-2 region record.
