Lady Rebels fall to Chattooga

The Fannin County Lady Rebel softball team traveled to Summerville, Georgia, Wednesday, October 7, for a double header against Chattooga.

Slow starts plagued the Lady Rebels in both games, and Fannin Could not recover as Chattooga won the first game 13-0 and the second game 11-0.

Jayden Bailey started for the Lady Rebels in the circle for the first game, pitching for three innings and collecting one strike out.

Jaylen Green and Jadeyn Holloway collected a hit each in the first game. After a scoreless first inning from both teams, Chattooga got on the board in the bottom of the second, scoring four runs for a 4-0 lead.

Fannin County could not capitalize in the top of the third, as Chattooga added nine runs in the bottom of the third to make it 13-0, where the score remained until the end of the game.

Bailey started in the pitcher’s circle for the second game, with Holloway coming on in relief.

Chelsea Frye and Bailey collected one hit each in the game. The Lady Rebels batted in the top of the first inning and were unable to cross home plate.

Chattooga scored four runs in the bottom of the first inning, four runs in the bottom of the second and three runs in the bottom of the third to take a 11-0 lead. The Lady Rebels could not generate a comeback as they lost the second game 11-0.
