Jabaley, Lewis pace victory

Izzie Jabaley and Reese Lewis each scored 16 points in the Fannin County Lady Rebels victory over Armuchee, 64-60 in overtime, Wednesday, January 28. Lewis scored 16 points and grabbed 16 rebounds.

Armuchee went on a 12-2 run to start the game. Trailing 24-13, the Lady Rebels went on a 7-point run to close the gap. Fannin was down 32-24 at halftime before claiming victory in the end.

The fourth quarter was the best for the Lady Rebels, as they outscored Armuchee 17-12.

As a team, the Lady Rebels rebounded the ball well, collecting 30 rebounds. Lewis led the team with 16 rebounds. 

Jabaley and Lewis each scored 16 points, Maggie Ledford added 14 points, Avi Ethington scored 12 points, Albany Cole put in four points, and Toccoa Hampton added two points in the Lady Rebels win. 

The Lady Rebels will play Coosa, Wednesday, February 4, in their next region game with tipoff at 5 p.m.

The Lady Rebels remain atop A D1 Region 7 with a 9-0 record. Overall, the team has posted a 18-2 worksheet this season.

Friday night, Fannin County is scheduled to host Christian Heritage with games starting at 6 p.m..
