Holloway sets pace as Lady Rebels finish 16th out of 25

Lindsey Holloway continued to set the pace for the Fannin County Lady Rebels cross country team with her performance at the AT&T Starr’s Mill Panther Cross Country meet in Fayetteville, Georgia, August 31.

The team also won honors, finishing 16th out of 25 teams, the top 15 all hailing from higher 4A, 5A and 6A classifications.

Holloway medaled in the race and came in 16th out of 180 runners. She also met the Georgia Milesplit Bronze Level Standard. She has met this standard in both of the Lady Rebels meets this season.

Scoring event points for the team with Holloway, Lila Borum, Kensley Pickelsimer, Syndey Ford and Annaleigh Cheatham. The other varsity competitor was Claire Saxon.

Head coach Miranda Roof said the Fayetteville meet saw Fannin County runners go up “against elite teams and some of the best runners in the state.”
