Girls cross country shines

    Fannin County Middle School’s Lady Rebels turned in strong performances in two recent cross country meets.

    The Fannin Lady Rebels scored second place finishes at both the League Championship held at Meeks Park in Blairsville and the Carney Invitational in Hayesville, North Carolina.

    Credited with strong performances in the League Championship were Carlee Holloway, Bailee Stiles, Kristen Cipich, Halle Walton, Lindsey Holloway, Olivia Temples, Brayden Whitener and Danica Padrutt.

    Injuries and sickness played a part in the outcome when they competed in the Carney meet.

    Leading the way in the second place finish were Bailee Stiles, Halle Walton, Kristen Cipich, Lindsey Holloway, Brayden Whitener, Josie Clemons and Emily Sisson.
