Five Lady Rebels hit double digits in the win over Model High School, Tuesday, December 30, to earn a 69-56 victory. Leading was Reese Lewis, who scored 15 points and grabbed 19 rebounds, and Maggie Ledford, who scored 16 points.
The Lady Rebels controlled the game from the opening tip, never giving up the lead.
The team went on an 11-point run to start the game and got out to a 40-23 lead at halftime before closing out the victory.
The Lady Rebels controlled the paint, grabbing 32 rebounds. Lewis led the team with 19 rebounds. Izzie Jabaley hit four threes for Fannin. As a team, they passed the ball well with 11 assists on 27 made baskets and blocked six shots in the game. Lewis led the team with four blocks.
Scorers for Fannin County included Ledford with 16 points, Lewis closely following with 15 points, Jabaley scoring 14 points, Toccoa Hampton and Avi Ethington adding 11 points each and Albany Cole scoring two points.
