The Fannin County High School Boys and Girls Track & Field teams competed Wednesday, March 12, at Walton High School against over 500 athletes from Kell High School, Mount Bethel Christian, North Cobb High School, Pope High School, South Cobb, the Stonehaven School, Walton High School, and Wheeler High School.
Several FCHS athletes placed in the top three in their respective events. These included:
•Lindsey Holloway placed first in the 1600 meter run and second in the 3200 meter run;
•Karli Sams placed second in the 1600 meter run and third in the 3200 meter run;
•Cooper Born placed first in Discus and third in Shot Put;
•Braxton Cheatham placed secnd in the 400 meter dash;
•Brevan Hennessey placed third in Pole Vault; and,
•Lindsey Holloway met the Milesplit Bronze-Level Standard in the 3200 meter run, and Braxton Cheatham met the Milesplit Bronze-Level Standard in the 400 meter dash.
The boys and girls teams will compete at home today, Wednesday, March 19. Seniors will be honored at this meet.
