The Rebels’ basketball team posted a 69-51 win over the Elbert County Blue Devils Saturday, January 7.
During the first quarter, senior JoJo Annis led the Rebels with six points. Ben Bloch, Jordan Richerson and Gavin Mowery had a basket for two point each for a Rebels’ 12 point first quarter.
The second quarter saw Bloch with eight points made up of four baskets in the paint. Bryson Wright put in a shot from behind the three point line and Lucus Hanson added a basket from the inside for two point.
After the half, Richerson found his rhythm and put in 13 points in the third quarter. Wright added five more, Annis put in an additional four and Davenport’s three connected with the back of the net for a 25 point quarter for the Rebels.
Annis, then, found his rhythm in the paint and added ten points for the Rebels in the last quarter. Richerson put in two more threes and Wright added three more points with a two and a free throw to secure a Rebel win.
