The Fannin County High School (FCHS) baseball team recently held four camps to help young athletes prepare for middle school and high school level baseball.

The Rebels held a Father/Son Camp in mid June, followed by an All Skills Camp at the end of June, first of July.

Pitchers and Catchers Camp was hosted July 5 through 7, and Hitters Camp was July 12 through 14.

All camps had strong showings and were very hands on, teaching kids important skill sets.

The camps were led by FCHS baseball Head Coach Travis Stone along with the rest of his staff and players. Stone said, “As a baseball program, we are always looking for ways to be involved in the Fannin County community. These camps allow us to work with the youth of the county, the future of our program. We use the funds that we raise from camps to support the high school program whether it’s buying uniforms, equipment and paying for summer tournaments. It is all used for the continued development of the young men that are currently in our program.”
