The Fannin County boys and girls high school and middle school cross country (XC) teams competed in Clear Creek at The North Georgia XC championship on September 21.
Both schools performed well, as the FCMS girls won their meet, FCMS boys took home second place, and the FCHS men’s team finished second.
The Rebels and Lady Rebels then participated in the Wildwood Run at Edwards Park in Dalton, Georgia, Thursday, September 23.
The Rebels were able to finish second out of 22 teams in the 5K team run, with a time of 1:34:40. The Lady Rebels were able to finish in sixth place out of 13 teams with a time of 2:01:16.
Zechariah Prater led the Rebels in the individual results, placing sixth out of 167 runners. Prater had a time of 18:11. Gavin Davis finished eighth and Benjamin Bloch rounded out the top 20 with a 19th place finish.
In the women’s races, Carlee Holloway led the way for the Lady Rebels, finishing ninth with a time of 22:37. Lindsay Holloway was able to finish 21st and Olivia Temples placed 29th.
