Fannin cross country teams bring home first place finishes

    Both the Fannin County boys and girls cross country teams brought home first place finishes from the Banks County High School Home Meet Wednesday, October 1 6.

    Besides Banks County High School, runners from Elbert County High School also competed.

    The Rebel boys’ team included of Rylin Davis, Hudson Lynch, Austin Prieto, Joe DiBenedetto, Gage Bryan, Henry Schueneman, Gavin Davis, Aiden Jones, Matthew Ponton, Brodey Angel, Kevin Cruz, Jaxson Bittner, Kaden Majors, and Brady Smith.

    Placing in the top five for the team were Rylin Davis in first, Hudson Lynch in second, and Austin Prieto who finished fifth.

    The Lady Rebels squad included Lindsey Holloway, Karli Sams, Kensley Pickelsimer, Sydney Ford, Annaleigh Cheatham, Lana Hicks, and Claire Saxon.

    Placing in the top five for the girls were Lindsey Holloway in first, Karli Sams in third, Kensley Pickelsimer who finished fourth, and Sydney Ford in fifth place.
