The Fannin County Mddle School boys Cross Country team came away with first place and the Champions plaque from the Carney Classic Invitational.
The meet was held in Hayesville, North Carolina, September 26. There were 100 runners in the event representing 11 teams.
Placing at the meet were: Gavin Davis, third; Zechariah Prater, sixth; Luke Callihan, 10th; Braxton Cheatham, 11th; Benjamin Bloch, 17th; Matthew Ponton, 18th; Andrew Nuckolls, 21st; Conrad Head, 32nd; Will Jones, 36th; Cole Stevenson, 45th; Jonathon Gomez, 59th; Bryson Mitchell, 71st; Finn Thoresen 75th; Lukas Guay, 84th; Bristol Hughes, 85th; and, Brady Smith, 86th.
