Copper Basin’s Lady Cougars honored for softball excellence

The 2023 Copper Basin Lady Cougars placed five players on the All-District first team. Senior Destiny Pittman, freshman Alexis Hyatt, freshman Angie Graves, junior Taylee Hall, and junior Riley Hall.

Pittman had an outstanding senior season, hitting .291 with two home runs to go along with 23 RBI’s. She had an on-base percentage of .437 and also had 11 doubles. As a pitcher, Pittman pitched 136.1 innings, striking out 92 batters. She had a record of 12-6 and an ERA of 3.69.

Taylee Hall had a .346 batting average while knocking in nine runs. She had an on-base percentage of .452 and collected 21 stolen bases and scored 31 runs for the Lady Cougars.

Her sister, Riley, led the team with six home runs and also had 20 RBI’s. Hall led the team, scoring 33 runs and had 20 stolen bases.

Graves hit at a .333 clip with an on-base percentage of .485. She had 21 RBI’s and led the team with 23 walks and stole 20 bases on the year.

Hyatt led the Lady Cougars with .455 batting average and a slugging percentage of .657. She had 45 base hits and a team-high 38 RBI’s to go with 16 stolen bases and scored 28 runs.
