The Lady Cougars battled in front of their home crowd Thursday, September 9, against region rival Lookout Valley. The game went for four sets as the Lady Yellow Jackets ultimately won the game 3-1. The first set was won by Lookout Valley as they held on to a 25-18 lead. Copper Basin claimed the next set 25-16 to even the match 1-1. Lookout Valley was able to win the third set 25-16 and the fourth set 25-21 to come away with a (3-1) victory.
Riley Hall had a big game for the Lady Cougars notching one dig and eight aces. Destiny Pittman had one dig and one ace, while Gracie Smith had one dig and three aces. Chelsea Stuart had one dig and two aces, while Sydney Hickey had four kills and two blocks. Raegan Higdon finished the day off with two kills, an ace and a dig. Channing Beach had four digs in the game as well.
