The Lady Cougar volleyball team hosted district rival Tellico Plains Tuesday, August 24. Copper Basin played stellar all match, sweeping the Lady Bears 3-0.
In the first set, the Lady Cougars dominated the Lady Bears and picked up a quick 25-8 win. The Lady Bears battled back in the second match, but the Lady Cougars came away with a 25-10 win to go up 2-0. Copper Basin put the nail in the coffin in the third set, as they topped the Lady Bears 25-11 to win the match 3-0.
Destiny Pittman had one dig in the match, while Chelsea Stuart had one dig and four aces. Albani Dotson tallied four kills in the game, and Sydney Hickey had one kill, four blocks, one dig, and one ace. Sapporiah Ross had a great night as she got four kills, four blocks, and seven aces.
Raegan Higdon had two kills and two aces, while Channing Beach had one dig.
