Billy Brackett is the new athletic director at Mountain Area Christian Academy (MACA) just outside Morganton.
Brackett started his new role with the intention of growing the Christian school’s athletic program.
“I am super excited about being a part of the MACA family. I have a lot of ideas and hope to expand the opportunities for our kids, in athletics, in a dramatic fashion,” he said.
Brackett recently retired after 25 years in law enforcement. He is also a certified Emergency Medical Technician and has been a coach and a referee.
