Copper Basin Cougar senior football player A.J. Fitchett recently signed papers to continue his football career at Union College in Barbourville, Kentucky, joining current Cougar and Bulldog signee Addison Hook, as well as former Cougar Bryson Grabowski. Fitchett held a ceremony on March 1 at Copper Basin High School.
Head Coach Chad Grabowski was proud of Fitchett, and talked about how the senior decided on Union. “He was turned on to Union when Addison took his visit and Addison asked them to watch his film. They really like him as a wide receiver and getting the ball in his hands is the plan.I think he did a great job this year for us on offense when he had the ball in his hands with making plays and being very dynamic. And on defense, he did a great job of covering the best player on the other team each night. Really excited to see what he does in college because I think his best football is coming.”
