The Lady Rebels softball team couldn’t pass the Armuchee Lady Indians Tuesday, October 7, and took a 3-2 loss.
Myla Rogers led Fannin County with two hits.
The Lady Indians opened the scoring in the first after a single scoring one run. From then, both teams exchange one run.
McKinley Lord began the game for the Lady Rebels. The starting pitcher allowed three hits and three runs (zero earned) over seven innings, striking out four and walking one.
Sydney German and Rogers each drove in one run. Aubree Franklin led the Lady Rebels with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, piling up five walks for the game. Franklin stole two bases. The team ran wild on the base paths, piling up four stolen bases for the game.
It wasn’t enough by the end to beat Armuchee, but the Lady Rebels were scheduled to play a double header for the first round of the GHSA Playoffs at Gordon Lee High School, Wednesday, October 15.
