Lady Rebels 11-9 after winning pair of matches on home court
The Fannin County High School (FCHS) Lady Rebels volleyball team is riding a four match winning streak following a pair of matches Thursday, August 28, in the FCHS gym.
Fannin County opened the night with a 2-0 decision over Hiwassee Dam’s Lady Eagles. This was the two team’s first meeting of the season, with a rematch scheduled for Monday, September 29.
In the second match, the Lady Rebels posted a 2-1 win over rival Gilmer County. The win avenged a pair of earlier losses this season to the Lady Bobcats.
Earlier last week, Fannin County picked up a 2-1 victory over Prince Avenue Christian and a 2-0 decision over Eastside High School. Both matches were played Tuesday, August 26, at Prince Avenue Christian.
Other match wins this year for the Lady Rebels have come against Commerce, Winder-Barrow, White County, Chestatee, Coosa and Murray County.
On the flip side of the score sheet, managing to overcome the Lady Rebels have been Northwest Whitfield, Sand Rock, Banks County, Hart County, Dawson County, Mill Creek and Pickens County.
The Lady Rebels boast a .555 winning percentage with an 11-9 record.
Fannin County is a perfect 3-0 at home, 5-1 away and 3-8 at neutral sites.
