Energy Assistance Program opens Dec. 2 in Fannin Co.

The Energy Assistance Program opens for the general public Monday, December 2.

Participating households must provide verification and meet the income criteria.

Upon applying, applicants must provide their most recent heating or electric bill, proof of household income, proof of valid Social Security Number, proof of citizenship with valid picture I.D. Elderly households must provide proof of age for all household members.

Assistance will include a one-time payment, sent directly to the home energy supplier, on behalf of the eligible household to alleviate the cost of heating their home.
