Three suspects were taken into custody after a Fannin County deputy sheriff spotted a truck that one of the suspects was known to drive sitting in a grocery story parking lot last week.
Deputy Sheriff Steve Bennett spotted the vehicle known to belong to Jennifer Leigh Ragsdale, 46, of 131 Lois Parks Drive, Ellijay, sitting in the Food Lion parking lot in Blue Ridge Wednesday, January 18, at around 7:30 p.m. Ragsdale was wanted by the Blue Ridge Police Department on warrants charging her with two misdemeanor counts of Criminal Trespass.
Bennett approached the vehicle and found a male subject sitting inside. Bennett and Sergeant Jesse Godsey identified the subject as Jeremy Robert Ragsdale, 45, of P.O. Box 784 Mineral Bluff, Georgia, according to sheriff’s office reports of the incident.
The deputies learned that Jennifer Ragsdale and Dalton Hugh Long were in the store. Godsey and Deputy Kaylee Robertson went into the store and brought the two subjects outside while Bennett waited with Jeremy Ragsdale.
Jennifer Ragsdale was arrested and charged with two felonies, Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, Amphetamine and Dextroamphetamine. She was also taken into custody on the two Blue Ridge warrants.
The Criminal Trespass charges were misdemeanors, according to the arrest warrants.
Jeremy Ragsdale was also arrested on two outstanding Blue Ridge warrants, both for Criminal Trespass.
Long, 27, of 297 Mineral Springs Road, was charged with two felonies, Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, Amphetamine and Dextroamphetamine.
