Toys for Tots distribution slated

    Countless hours of volunteer work and generous donations from individuals, organizations and businesses will reach children this weekend when the annual Toys for Tots distribution takes place.

    Toys will be distributed Friday and Saturday, December 16 and 17, from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. at Fannin County Family Connection.

    Cheryl Jordan, Toys for Tots executive director, said this will be a drive thru pickup at the facility at 501 Fannin Industrial Park in Blue Ridge.

    Jordan said toy requests are being accepted through today, Wednesday, December 14, at Family Connection.

    Today is also the last day toy boxes from throughout the area will be collected. Afterwards, volunteers will be busy getting Christmas presents ready for the weekend distribution at Family Connection.
