The rezoning request of Johnnie Hastings, on behalf of Integrity Development Group LLC., to develop 14.15 acres along Appalachian Highway into a townhome community must go before the Blue Ridge Planning Commission yet again.
This would mark the third time Hastings has changed his plan for the undeveloped area.
Hastings informed the city that he would like to amend his application; however, an application cannot be amended without going back before the Planning Commission, City Attorney James Balli said during a regular City Council meeting Tuesday, December 8.
Alternatively, Hastings could withdraw the application altogether and resubmit, but the process will still begin over.
Hastings' most recent rezoning request asked the city to change the current zoning from General Commercial to High-Density Residential in order to incorporate 83 townhomes.
