The staffs of Probate Court and Magistrate Court are honoring Fannin County’s first responders and members of the Armed Forces with five specially decorated trees.
Victoria Weeks of the Probate Court staff is credited with the idea. From there, everyone came together to support the project and the Probate Court staff took the lead in the decorating process. “It was an endeavor of love,” Sina Wilson said.
The trees were officially dedicated last week with representatives of Fannin County’s emergency services, sheriff’s office, detention center and Armed Forces present.
Chief Magistrate Judge Brain Jones expressed the appreciation of the court staffs for the dedication and hard work of all those who serve the public.
Probate Judge Scott Kiker agreed, and also talked about how the tress will hopefully give a boost to those on the front lines of facing a challenging year.
The trees are located on the second floor of the Fannin County Courthouse.
