Safety concerns lead to reduced speed limit near new facilities

  • The speed limit between the end of the spillway bridge at Lake Blue Ridge Dam on Old Highway 76 and the Blue Ridge city limits is being reduced to 30 miles per hour due to increased traffic in the area. Commission Chairman Jamie Hensley said last Wednesday new signs would be posted as soon as possible and hopefully by the end of last week.
