Veterinarian Dr. William Mitchell and his staff at Copper Basin Veterinary Clinic in McCaysville are partnering with the Blue Ridge Knights of Columbus to sponsor multiple rabies vaccination clinics across the community this Saturday, April 17.
The clinics will take place at five locations across Fannin County. They are:
•Copper Basin Veterinary Clinic in McCaysville from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.;
•Epworth Community Center from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.;
•Morganton Baptist Church from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.;
•Blue Ridge Cinema in Blue Ridge (behind McDonalds) from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.; and,
•Van Zandt’s Riverwalk Grill & Grocery near Suches from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Each rabies vaccination will cost $10. In addition to providing rabies vaccinations, annual DAPPC vaccines will also be available for an additional $18.
“As clinics such as this were not permitted last year due to COVID restrictions, we are once again pleased to assist Dr. Mitchell and his staff in providing this necessary service,” Knight Dave Pierman said. “The Knights’ proceeds, as always, will benefit local area charities.”
