Blue Ridge Municipal Court Judge Robert Sneed was appointed as the hearing officer by the Blue Ridge City Council Friday, April 30, during a special called meeting.
Sneed, as stated in a resolution adopted by the council, will “conduct hearings related to the suspension and revocation of an occupational tax certificate allowing for the sale of alcoholic beverages.”
A hearing is scheduled for May 12.
Councilwoman Rhonda Haight and Mayor Donna Whitener both said they could not reveal the business that is to be subject of the hearing and no further details on any violations the hearing is to address were provided.
Councilman Nathan Fitts was not at the meeting.
