McCasyville officials are moving forward to complete the expansion of the City Park located on the Toccoa River.
An advertisement appearing this week in The News Observer seeks bids for constructing four new pavilions and repairing the existing maintenance and storage building on the Market Street site.
The money being used to fund the work is to come from what’s left of a $500,000 OneGeorgia grant the city was awarded in 2017.
Plans for the improvements were presented to the city council at their regular meeting in October by Zach Welch, chairman of the city’s Revitalization Committee.
The bid applications and specifications are available at McCaysville City Hall or can be downloaded from the city’s website. They must be turned into the city by Friday, January 15, at 2 p.m.
The bid opening was scheduled for that day when the city council met in regular session Tuesday, November 10.
