Fannin County has seen an additional 107 cases of COVID-19 over the last two weeks as of Sunday, December 6.
This brings the county’s total up to 1,052 positive cases since the pandemic began. Thirty of those people who had contracted the virus have died, seven probable deaths have been reported and 91 have been hospitalized.
In comparison, the county had seen 992 positive cases total as of Monday, November 30. Thirty people had died, five probable deaths had been reported and 94 had been hospitalized.
Of the Fannin County School System’s 2,902 students, none have a current COVID-19 status, none are quarantined due to exposure at school and 39 are quarantined due to non-school exposure. There are currently 410 students enrolled in online learning that do not attend in-person classes.
Of the 472 system employees, less than 10 have a current COVID-19 status, none are quarantined due to an exposure at school and less than 10 are quarantined due to non-school exposure.
The Georgia Department of Public Health reported that Georgia has seen 443,822 confirmed cases, 8,971 virus related deaths, 835 probable deaths, 36,039 hospitalizations and 6,676 ICU admissions. Of these, 1,808 confirmed cases, two deaths and 38 hospitalizations were reported December 6.
In comparison, last week the state had seen 422,133 confirmed cases and 8,778 virus related deaths.
According to the Georgia Geospatial Information Office, the United States has seen 14,756,045 confirmed cases, 282,207 deaths
and 5,624,444 recoveries.
