Humane Society of Blue Ridge’s Giving Tuesday event is December 1 at 8 a.m.

In the past, Facebook has agreed to match funds raised up to a certain amount.
Last year, that number was $7 million.
Folks are encouraged to continue giving throughout the year, and not just on Giving Tuesday.
The Humane Society is dedicated to protecting and preserving the lives of cats and dogs.
On average, they house 12 dogs and 50 cats.
This equates to $105 per day just to feed the animals.
