Georgia Mountains Health was recently recognized as a Quality Leader by the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). The award signifies that Georgia Mountains Health ranks among the top 30% of all health centers nationally for delivering the best overall clinical performance for patients.
Steven Miracle, chief executive officer of Georgia Mountains Health, said there are 1,400 similar organizations nationwide. Only 34 in Georgia were placed in the top one third.
In recognizing Georgia Mountains Health, James Macrae, HRSA Associate Administrator, stated the award recognizes “achievements in the areas of access, quality, healthy equity, health information technology, and COVID-19 public health emergency response”. He further stated that Georgia Mountains Health’s “efforts are central to advancing a model of coordinated comprehensive, and patient-centers care”.
“This national recognition is testimony to the care and compassion delivered by our physicians, nurse practitioners, and staff,” Miracle said. “Our clinical focus on chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension as well as addressing the every day health issues is what drives our excellence in quality outcomes for our patients.”
