GDOT is promising a quick response project to add a turning lane on State Route 5 at State Route 2 (Highway 515) in Blue Ridge to help relieve frequent traffic backups such as this one last Thursday afternoon.
The intersection of state routes 2 and 5 in Blue Ridge is not part of the State Route 5 widening project between Blue Ridge and McCaysville.
