The end of school and start of summer traditionally bring a flurry of activities to the Fannin County Public Library, and this year is no exception.
The Summer Reading Program kicked off Monday, June 5, and will continue through Saturday, July 15, when the Finale Party will be held. Anyone who wants to take part is encourage to pick up a Bingo board.
The weekly Wednesday storytime begins today, June 7, with “All Together Now” at 11 a.m. and again at 4 p.m. The event is for all ages.
Magician Bill Packard will perform Thursday, June 8, at 1 p.m. for all ages.
Youngsters ages 12 to 17 are invited to Teen Glass Painting Friday, June 9, from 4 p.m. until 5 p.m.
Next Wednesday’s storytime features Calder the Dog in Kindness to Animals. This is for all ages at 11 a.m. and again at 4 p.m.
Zippity Zoo Animal Palooza is slated for Thursday, June 15, at 1 p.m. This event is for all ages.
Saturday, July 17, brings Science Saturday: Magnets, Motion and Machines to the library from 11 a.m. until noon for all ages.
The library is open from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday and is closed Sunday.
It is located on the first floor of the Fannin County Courthouse at 400 West Main Street in Blue Ridge.
