The following establishments were inspected by Fannin County Environmental Health October 1 through November 25. These establishments are all permitted for Food Service.
Ferraro’s Kitchen, 322 West Main Street, Unit 2A, Blue Ridge, received a 98 for not having a type of chemical sanitizer testing strip available.
Smokin’ E’s BBQ, 322 West Main Street, Suite C2, was given a 97 since Inspector Briana Gasperson observed live German roaches in the bar area and dry storage area.
La Pizzeria at Cucina Rustica, 76 Forge Mill Crossing, Morganton, scored a 99 for dishes and utensils being dried with a cloth towel instead of being air dried.
Chester Brunnenmeyer’s Bar and Grill, 733 East Main Street, Blue Ridge, received a 93 for mold growing on the ice machine, an unclean food thermometer being stored as clean, and Gasperson also noted that prepped food was not being stored properly.
Mystic Mountain Pizza, 4118 East First Street, Blue Ridge, was given a 96 for leaving food uncovered while cooling and because the storage room was missing tiles and has an exposed drop ceiling. Gasperson also noted that the kitchen ceiling tiles are stained and dusty.
Sabor A Puebla Bar and Grill, 4131 East First Street, Blue Ridge, scored a 97 for not using proper cooling methods.
El Manzanillo, 5679 Appalachian Highway, Blue Ridge, was given a 96 for having unlabeled spray bottles of bleach and oven cleaner.
Popeye’s, 634 Cook Street, Blue Ridge, received a 99 after Gasperson observed a need for “additional cleaning of floors around shelving, equipment and inside of walk in.”
