The current Copperhill Council met for the last time to hold second readings for their Property Tax and Noise Ordinances Monday, November 9.
The Property Tax Ordinance includes the tax rate of 1.14 per $100 of the assessed value on real and personal property, which is the same rate as it’s been for many years, Mayor Kathy Stewart said.
The Noise Ordinance was modified to include decibels, which restricts amplifiers and other devices from being projected over a certain limit.
The next line of aldermen and mayor were to be sworn in Monday, November 16, at City Hall, which include the re-election of Mayor Stewart along with four alderman, Cecil Arp, Scott Brooks, Charles Burnette and Horace D. West.
