Comedy Central’s Hunt to help Freedom for Fido

Comedy Central comedian Eric Hunt is coming to Blue Ridge for a good cause – Freedom For Fido.

Freedom For Fido, a local non-profit dedicated to freeing dogs from life on a chain, is hosting a show Thursday, July 23 to help raise funds for their projects.

The show will kickoff at Stewart Farms, 641 Chestnut Gap Road, Blue Ridge, at 6 p.m. Musical guest Adrian Stover will also provide entertainment for visitors.

A catered BBQ meal will be served, and ticket holders will be able to enter bids at a silent auction.

Tickets are currently on sale at $35 a piece and can be purchased in advance on their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/freedomforfido/?ref=br_rs.

Folks may also head to Tractor Supply in Blue Ridge Saturday, July 11 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to secure a ticket.

The organization has around 50 tickets left!

Building fences may sound simple enough, but, with an all-volunteer crew, each build costs around $800, and the group currently has 10 approved fence builds lined up.

Freedom For Fido provides fences to low income families for free. The only requirement is that those in need live within a 20 mile radius of Blue Ridge.

Just three weeks ago, the team freed a dog named Rebel from seven years of life on a chain.
