The Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association is comprised of United States combat veterans who share a common hobby of riding motorcycles.
On top of that, the association’s main purpose is to help other veterans, whether they’re members or not, which includes helping get them dentures, clean up their yard or build ramps and everything in between.
Members of the association will even make visits to veterans in the nursing home.
Since many veterans can be proud and won’t ask for help if they need it, local Chapter 25-3 Treasurer Dennis “Dyno” Teems said, nominations of veterans in need are welcomed by the organization.
In order to carry out their mission, the local chapter hosts fundraisers throughout the year including their most recent and annual Veterans Memorial Golf Tournament.
This year’s golf tournament consisted of over 80 players.
Additionally, anyone who would like to become a member is invited to inquire.
There are three different types of membership: Full Members who are individuals with verified combat service, Supporter Members who are those with non-combat military service but are dedicated to helping veterans, and Auxiliary Members who are spouses of either Full or Support members. Additionally, members must have their own motorcycle, and it must be at least 500 cc.
Members meet at different locations every month unless they are working on a project, and the commander is Rob “Bandit” Denison.
The association is a registered 501c19 veterans charity.
