City of Blue Ridge Finance Director Alicia Stewart has submitted her resignation, effective December 10.
The news came during Mayor-elect Rhonda Haight’s meeting with the new council Wednesday, November 10.
Stewart has been finance director for the city since 2011 and also currently handles human resources.
Haight said she couldn’t blame Stewart for leaving as she would be “getting a promotion” and will be working with the Gilmer County Water Authority.
