Fundraising for the annual Shop With A Cop program continues this Saturday, December 12, when Attorney Lynn Doss opens her office for anyone wishing to take family pictures.
Different Christmas and holiday arrangements, from a large tree to Christmas villages, have been set up to use as backdrops and scenes for the pictures.
Donations will be accepted for those taking advantage of the holiday event, and all proceeds will go to the Fannin County Shop With A Cop program.
The office is located at 710 West First Street in Blue Ridge, behind the Blue Ridge Mountains Arts Association.
A total of 87 children were treated to the annual Shop With A Cop this past Saturday at the Blue Ridge Walmart.
But School Resource Officer Commander Lieutanent Darvin Couch said more children have since been signed up needing help. He says those needs will be met.
And Doss’ event this weekend will go toward meeting those needs.
Shop With A Cop fundraising takes place all year long and includes several community events. But due to the restrictions accompanying the caronavirus pandemic, many of those events had to be canceled this year.
Anyone who wants to donate to the program can drop off donations at the Fannin County Sheriff’s Office on West First Street behind the Fannin County Courthouse.
