Quantavious Brown, 24, of Copperhill, was found not guilty on charges from an alleged 2018 incident in which he was accused of forcing his way into a Copperhill woman’s home and sexually assaulting her.
Brown had been held in the Polk County Detention Center without bond since August 3, 2018.
In Polk County Criminal Court, Brown was acquitted on charges of aggravated burglary, two counts of rape and retaliation for past action by a jury consisting of five women and seven men. The verdict was returned Friday, May 28.
Judge Sandra Donaghy oversaw the trial.
