A 28-year-old Fannin County woman, who had been reported missing only a short time earlier, was found dead inside her vehicle Saturday in Blue Ridge.
Fannin County Sheriff’s Investigator Captain Justin Turner identified the victim as Tierani Hendrix of a Blairsville address located within Fannin County.
Fannin County Coroner Becky Callihan said the cause of death was a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Hendrix was found in her Subaru Forester in the Blue Ridge Antique Mall parking lot behind the Blue Ridge Police Department by a passerby at approximately 2:15 Saturday afternoon, Turner said.
Only about a half hour before the victim was found, Turner said Deputy Sheriff Jesse Godsey took a missing person report from the victim’s grandparents. They reported having last seen Hendrix on the morning of December 31.
