The 10th annual Blues & BBQ Festival will be held Saturday, September 18, in downtown Blue Ridge Park, with gates opening at 11:30 a.m.
The festival is hosted by the Blue Ridge Lodging Association, and a portion of the proceeds will go to the Fannin County Boys and Girls club.
Tickets cost $10, and children 12 and younger will be free.
Tickets are available to purchase at www.blueridgebluesandbbq.com or at the gate. Dogs, outside food and drinks, and firearms will not be permitted.
BBQ from local and regional cookers will be available while attendees enjoy the sounds of the Blues. The first band to play will be Breaking Point Band at noon, followed by The Shufflejunkies Band at 2 p.m.
Next, The Crossroads Band, a group of blues, rock, and country performers will play at 4 p.m. Two-time Grammy nominee Dwayne Dopsie joins his band Dwayne Dopsie and the Zydeco Hellraisers at 6 p.m., and closing the event will be The Georgia Blues Brothers, a Blues Brothers tribute act, at 8 p.m.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of North Georgia will be sponsoring a Kids Corner, and for $5, children will receive a bracelet and unlimited access to inflatable rides.
Also, Thursday, September 16, there will be a Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours Blues & BBQ Festival kick-off hosted by Willow Creek Falls, located at 35 Trackside Lane in Blue Ridge, from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m.
