Local attorney Francis “Frank” Xavier Moore, 67, of Campbell Camp Circle in Blue Ridge, was arrested for public drunkeness and “use of ‘fighting words’ obscene and vulgar language; phone call” Saturday, January 8, off Roberts Way in Blue Ridge.
According to warrants filed with the Appalachian Judicial Circuit in Fannin County, Moore was charged with Misdemeanor, Disorderly Conduct and Misdemeanor, Public Drunkeness after the incident, which occurred at 11 p.m. that night.
On oath, Blue Ridge officer Peter Tinkham said Moore “did appear to be in an intoxicated condition on Roberts Way, a public place, while acting in a boisterousness manor and using vulgar, profane, loud and unbecoming language” and “without provocation, used obscene and abusive words inciting an immediate breach of the peace.”
Moore was released on his own recognizance the following day.
