    If you’re in search of a fur-ever friend, look no further! The Fannin County Animal Control is full of friendly pups waiting to find families.

    This past week, 13 dogs were taken in, while three were owner reclaimed.

    Six puppies were taken in by the Blue Ridge Humane Society.

    Volunteers are welcome to visit, walk and play with dogs at the facility during business hours.

    The animal control facility is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

    After those hours, officers follow up on community concerns and respond to stray calls.

    To reclaim dogs, owners must show proof of up-to-date rabies vaccination or pay to have them vaccinated.

    Anyone who would like to make donations for improvements to the facility or for the care of the dogs may do so by visiting their website as well.
